The guide of the Confederation of Football of Southern Africa Denny Jordaan was arrested in the middle. The police accused him of corruption and other crimes. The sports functionary turned out to be at the center of a scandal after an investigation into criminal activities in the world of football.
During searches, valuable documents and other evidence were seized from Jordaan. The police also conducted searches in his home. According to the law enforcement agencies, the investigation continues to work on this case.
"We take these accusations seriously and will act in accordance with the law," Jordaan stated in an interview after his arrest.
